If you want to renew your old car rc in India, you need to follow following practical steps. 

 1st Step : Fill the Form 25 with Attach the Documents

Just get form 25 and fill it with photostates of Adhar card, original Rc photocopy, insurance photocopy.

2nd Step : Update Your Tax

You have to update your tax  by going to mini secretariat Road and transport office. It means, you need to fill form 25 and employee will see your old registration no. and update it. it may take one to two days.


3rd Step : Entry of Your Updated Tax and Get User ID and Password

For paying tax and other charges online, you need to get user ID and Password from Transport department in mini secretariat. The responsible employee will get your one Form 25 and will do entry within 2 working days.

4th Step : Get Online User ID and Password

5th Step : Login Online Vahan Site and Login Online payment

6th Step : See Your Tax Details and Verify it

7th Step : Pay Online with Your Debit Card or Net Banking

8th Step : If Payment Failed, Next Day Get New Password from Govt. Employee

One password is for one day and next day you will get new password and then try and you will get success for payment

9th Step : Passing Your Car with Transport Inspection Officer

Inspection officer will say to trace chesi with pencil on 2 form 25 and give time to attested its copy for deposit in mini secretariat office

After inspection, it will pass the car to drive more on the road all allow transport authority to give new RC.

He will signed the form 25 with his seal.

Now Deposit this attested form in you transport officer in mini secretariat and then within 10 working days, your a new RC  renew process will start. 

10th Step : Add New Number Plate 

Before lock-down, there was a new rule of replacement of your old plate number. Without replacement of old plate number, you can not get new RC. For adding, number plate, you need to go to place where you get car license. You have to pay Rs. 490 before lockdown it was Rs. 360. After 10 days, you get message of come with car and replace your car number plate. After going and completing this process, you have to wait 24 hrs. After 24 hrs, you have to go to again mini secretariate of transport office and get new RC after its KCM
